I met Andy years ago through mutual friends, and when we met Emilie we just knew they were perfect together! One of the sweetest couples I’ve ever met, I was super excited when she asked if I would photograph their wedding in May. They are a perfect example of how a wedding should be about fun, family and friends.
The ceremony was held in an absolutely beautiful location in the grass overlooking a lake in Pocahontas State Park, picture perfect. The reception was full of homemade and personal details with a vintage feel. Emilie and her friends did an amazing job decorating tables with beautiful trinkets, vases, flowers, toys, all kinds of unique objects for such an eclectic feel. I loved walking around and seeing what treasures I could find to take photos of. They also put together all of the bouquets with gorgeous embroidered handkerchiefs for another personal touch. She even found her dress vintage and cleaned it up good as new, I love how it all turned out! And wait until you see the most beautiful – almost too pretty to eat cookies, super delicious and amazing! Congratulations again to them, and to a perfect wedding day!
Such a pretty bride!
Adding another personal touch, they had a friend playing accordion and another friend as the officiate.
Here are those amazing cookies, can you believe how pretty they are! 🙂
Andy also plays drums in the Mills Family Band. They did such a great job keeping everyone dancing all night long.
