Elegant Libby Hill Maternity Photo Shoot [Richmond, VA Family Photographer]

Summer in Virginia is beautiful (and hot, humid, stormy and unpredictable!). When this lovely couple told me they waned to hire me for a maternity shoot at Libby Hill Park I was all over it. This is one of my favorite places in RVA to shoot. It has multiple gorgeous panoramic views of the Richmond city skyline, the Manchester District and the James River.

A few days before the shoot I saw that we were in store for a very, very rainy weekend. I’ve always loved tracking the weather and working so long with meteorologists at the news station, I consider myself an “honorary weather girl”. But this seriously comes in handy when I need to schedule shoots or outdoor activities. So Saturday morning was out – and luckily we were able to squeeze it in Friday evening. It had been rainy and cloudy all day, but it dried up for us enough for a wonderful maternity shoot with this gorgeous, perfectly dressed couple. Plus, the cloudy skies are always flattering on the skin. I love the outcome of this sweet session and I cannot wait for them to meet their little one! 🙂
