Christa & James Sunny Leonardtown Engagement [Maryland Wedding Photographer]

One of my favorite things about being a wedding photographer is shooting the engagement session! It’s such a good way to help my couples get comfortable in front of the camera plus we get to know each other a little better, making that part of the wedding day a little less intimidating. Plus, they are always so much fun! We can take our time and focus on showing two people in love.

James and Christa are getting married next year at a winery in Southern Maryland – cannot wait! For their engagement session, they wanted to shoot somewhere fun in that area, which I am not very familiar with so I left it up to them to choose. And they picked the most perfect spot! It’s called Leonardtown and it’s one of the most adorable little towns I’ve ever explored. There’s just something about a small town that makes you smile 🙂 So I researched it as much as I could online to find the sweet spots to photograph, turns out they are everywhere! If you ever get a chance to visit, check it out. We also ate a wonderful dinner at a restaurant in the square. Anyway, I hope you enjoy these warm and sunny, love-filled images of this sweet couple!

Fun fact: The groom-to-be officiated this beautiful Sandbridge Beach Wedding that I shot of our mutual good friends and I was thrilled when he asked me to be his wedding photographer!
