If you like flowers and Washington DC, this post is for you!
This year I realized that even though I’m a little under two hours away, I’ve never actually seen the Washington DC Cherry Blossoms. So this year, me and a co-worker were determined to drive up and see them. Which ended up being a challenge with the insane weather we have had this year. Winter stuck around way way too long! And the blossom peak kept getting pushed back. Then finally, when the blossoms were in full bloom – mid week or course – there was a huge rain that came through the day before we were able to drive up! But we figured there would still be enough left to look at and hey, it was going to be a gorgeous weekend regardless! So we made the drive, spent the whole day walking around DC and there were just enough blossoms left to fulfill our photo taking desires 🙂
Plus, I got to spend some time with one of my lovely cousins! She’s only 2 hours away, but it’s been around 2 years since we have seen each other! And it was so great to have our own personal tour guide!
And we ended the day with a glimpse of the white house!
